• Rhinoceros 是一款非常著名的建筑设计软件，Rhino 英文全名为 Rhinoceros，中文称之犀牛，于 1998 年 8 月正式上市，是美国 Robert McNeel & Assoc 开发的 PC 上强大的专业 3D 造型软件，Rhinoceros 软件在早期发展原型代号就称为 “Rhino”。它能轻易整合 3DS MAX 与 Softimage 的模型功能部分，对要求精细、弹性与复杂的 3D NURBS 模型，有点石成金的效能。

• Rhino 提供所有 NURBS 功能，丰富的辅助工具，如实时渲染、层的控制、对象的显示状态等。

• Rhino Rhino 可以定制自己的命令集；还提供命令行的输入方法，用户可以输入命令的名称和参数。

• Rhino 在渲染方面 Rhino 提供了材质等较多的控制。Rhino 可以输出许多种格式的文件。可以直接输出 NURBS 模型到 3DMax、Softimage3D 等软件中，另外也可以把 NURBS 转换为多边形组成的物体，供其他软件调用。
